Why I Became a Collectibles Advisor (And How It Benefits You)

One of the most common moments during a decluttering session goes something like this:

We’re sorting through drawers, closets, basements … and then we pause.

“Is this worth anything?”

For years, I didn’t always have a clear answer to that question. I could help you decide what to keep, donate, or discard, but when it came to determining value, especially for precious metals or collectibles, there was uncertainty.

So I set off to change that and in 2022, I became a member of the Keys Guild so I could confidently guide my clients through those “Is this worth anything?” moments. Through this organization, I receive ongoing education and training, access to an experienced advisory team and trusted partnerships and wholesale buying connections. As an advisor I review and research your items and then share the average price of what the item or similar items sell for in today's marketplace. 

My role as your professional organizer has always been to help you make thoughtful decisions about your belongings. Becoming a collectibles advisor and precious metals dealer simply allows me to offer one more layer of support. Instead of wondering about value or putting items back into a drawer “just in case,” you can get a clear answer right away.
